Position Overview: We are seeking a Design Engineer with HVAC product development background. The role involves 3D CAD modeling product design BOM validation and collaboration with cross functional teams. The engineer will contribute to innovation quality planning and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models using Creo software for HVAC product designs
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into product designs
- Apply knowledge of HVAC systems sheet metal standards and coatings paints for corrosion resistance
- Lead DFM DFA activities for cost optimization and manufacturability
- Participate in risk management activities and contribute to PFMEA
- Engage in APQP activities including quality planning and control
- Conduct gap analysis and support prototype build ups across HVAC product lines
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 2015 QMS and relevant industry standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and departmental KPIs
- Communicate effectively within the design team and across departments
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3 to 6 years of experience in HVAC product design and development Proficiency in Creo 2D 3D modeling
- Robust understanding of HVAC components sheet metal standards and coatings paints
- Experience in DFM DFA PFMEA and APQP activities Familiarity with ISO 9001 2015 QMS and relevant industry standards
- Strong communication teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ERP SAP BOM management
- Exposure to Lean methodology and innovation in product design
- Track record of successful prototype builds and project management
