Job Purpose

To provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Sports & Physical Education across the Group's three schools by driving sporting excellence, student participation, competitive achievements, standardized sports programmes, and effective management of sports infrastructure, staff, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

- Develop and implement the Group's Sports Strategy, Annual Sports Calendar, policies, and SOPs.
- Standardize sports programmes, coaching practices, and operational procedures across all three schools.
- Drive sporting excellence and promote physical fitness, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Introduce current sports initiatives, competitions, and athlete development programmes.

Department Management

- Lead, mentor, and supervise Heads of Sports, Physical Education Teachers, Coaches, and Sports Support Staff across all three schools.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and coaching resources.

Sports Programme Management

- Plan and deliver at least one Physical Education period per week for Classes XI and XII to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and active student participation.
- Identify and nurture talented athletes through structured coaching and development programmes.
- Monitor student participation and sporting performance across all campuses.

Parent & Community Engagement





- Strengthen parent engagement through ParentStudent Sports Meets, Family Sports Days, Fitness Challenges, and wellness initiatives.
- Build partnerships with sports academies, associations, and external organizations.

Infrastructure & Administration

- Oversee sports infrastructure, grounds, courts, equipment, procurement, maintenance, and annual budgets.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE Sports Guidelines, SGFI regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain departmental MIS, inventories, budgets, sports records, and performance reports for submission to the Chairman.

Qualifications

- Regular Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) Mandatory
- Additional certifications in Coaching, Sports Management, or Officiating will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 15–18 years of experience in Sports & Physical Education.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing sports operations across multiple schools or campuses.

Knowledge & Competencies

- Comprehensive knowledge of multiple indoor and outdoor sports, including Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Football, Athletics, Chess, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Pickleball, and other school-level competitive sports.
- Thorough understanding of sports rules, regulations, coaching methodologies, officiating standards, and tournament formats.
- Proven ability to lead teams to achieve excellence in CBSE, SGFI, District, State, National, and International sports competitions.
