Job Description: Java Developer

Experience - 3-5 years

Location- Pune

Job Summary
We are looking for a Backend Java Developer with a strong foundation in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and databases. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior developers to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Contribute to Microservices-based application development.

- Write clean, productive, reusable, and maintainable code.

- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and perform database operations.

- Develop database queries and work with Hibernate/JPA.

- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance improvement activities.

- Integrate backend services with other applications and external systems.

- Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Follow coding standards, development best practices, and secure coding principles.

- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior developers.

- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.

- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, frontend, and other development teams.

- Work with Git and CI/CD pipelines as part of the development process.

- Support application deployment using Docker and gain exposure to Kubernetes.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3-5 years of experience in Java backend development.





- Good knowledge of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.

- Basic understanding of Microservices architecture.

- Experience developing REST APIs.

- Good knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

- Understanding of Hibernate/JPA or other ORM frameworks.

- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

- Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab.

- Basic understanding of unit testing using JUnit/Mockito.

- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Understanding of software development lifecycle and coding best practices.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have

- Exposure to Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging systems.

- Basic knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

- Basic understanding of OAuth2/JWT and application security.

- Exposure to event-driven architecture.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Fresh graduates with solid Java/Spring Boot skills may also be considered, depending on the project requirements.
