Must Have :

- Robust knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS , and VPNs
- Hands on - experience with firewall technologies such as Cisco ASA , Fortinet (FortiGate) , Palo Alto , and Sophos Firewall
- Experience with proxy servers and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Solid understanding of core security concepts , including access control , authentication, encryption , and vulnerability management .

Role & responsibilities :

- Manage and update firewall rule bases, including system/group definitions and authentication configurations at user, client, and session levels
- Administer firewall security policies, including system backups, alerts, monitoring, and logging functions
- Configure and maintain security policies for network infrastructure following proper change management processes




- Perform security policy rule administration and maintain regular configuration backups
- Proactively update and manage security device signatures
- Ensure log rotation, monitoring, and housekeeping of security device logs while maintaining optimal disk space utilization
- Design and implement proper network zoning architecture, with periodic review of security policies
- Configure and manage IPSEC VPNs (site-to-site and remote access)
- Perform network device hardening, configuration backups, and ongoing device management
- Handle log management and security monitoring activities
- Detect and mitigate WLAN attacks and perform WLAN configuration optimization
- Monitor and manage network configurations such as IP addressing, subnet masks, DNS settings, and IPSLA, ensuring adherence to change management processes
- Monitor existing IOS versions and installed patches; plan and execute IOS upgrades after validation in staging/incubation environments before rolling out in production.
