This position offers the opportunity to work in a energetic and supportive environment where creativity and innovation are valued.Responsibilities:Assist patrons in locating library materials, both in print and electronic formatsProvide reference and research assistance to patrons, including helping with database searches and information inquiriesDevelop and maintain library collections, including selecting materials for purchase and managing acquisitionsPlan and implement library programs and events for all ages, such as storytime sessions, book clubs, and workshopsCollaborate with community organizations and schools to promote literacy and library servicesAssist with library technology,



including troubleshooting issues with computers, printers, and other equipmentParticipate in library outreach efforts, including visiting schools, senior centers, and other community locationsPerform other duties as assigned by library management RequirementsQualifications:Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited programStrong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanorExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with library cataloging systems and online databasesKnowledge of current trends in library services and information technologyFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with diverse populations preferredJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Paid sick timeSchedule:Day shiftWork Location: In person
