About IISSSC

The Indian Iron & Steel Sector Skill Council (IISSSC) is an industry-driven, non-profit organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE)(Section 8 under Company's Act 2013). The Council caters to both Iron & Steel and Non-Ferrous manufacturing sectors, including large, medium, and small enterprises, rerolling mills, sponge iron units, ferro alloys, steel construction, and welding industries. IISSSC is responsible for developing Qualification Packs (QPs) and National Occupational Standards (NOS) for job roles in the metals sector, conducting training and assessments through affiliated agencies, and certifying successful candidates. The Governing Committee comprises senior officials from major steel and non-ferrous companies, along with representatives from industry associations. It is head quartered at Kolkata. Position Business Development & Operations Management for West Bengal and neighbouring states

. Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification Essential:

- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University

Desirable:

- Diploma holder/ Graduate in Engineering from a recognized Institute

Additional Requirements:

- Proficiency in MS Office and email communication
- Communication in English,



Hindi and Bengali Language essential
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills
- High energy levels with a willingness to learn and adapt

Note: Eligibility criteria may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.

2. Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales in the regions mentioned
- Experience in handling business development and operations in industrial or service sectors

Roles & Key Responsibilities:

- Business Development and Operations Management
- Identify potential clients in the metals sector and map decision-making structures
- Present IISSSC's skilling solutions and secure business opportunities
- Manage execution of training programs in coordination with Head Office and stakeholders
- Represent IISSSC in client meetings, reviews and reporting
- Liasoning with Government departments as required
- Develop business with Educational Institutions, Universities, Colleges, ITIs, Schools etc.
- Manage billing, payment follow-ups and client servicing requirements

4. Remuneration

- Commensurate with experience and suitability
- Includes performance-linked variable pay tied to business growth
