About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Associate — Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Core Automation Team. In this role, you will focus on automating SAP environments end-to-end and leveraging modern tooling — RPA, Low-Code/No-Code platforms, and AI — to improve the reliability, observability, and performance of mission-critical SAP systems.
You will work hands-on with scripting, observability frameworks, and automation platforms to reduce manual effort, proactively detect issues, and accelerate incident resolution. The ideal candidate blends deep SAP operational knowledge with a strong engineering mindset, and enjoys solving complex reliability problems through automation and data-driven observability.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Automation & Engineering
- Automation Design — Design, implement, and configure automation solutions to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of SAP environments.
- RPA & LCNC — Leverage RPA and Low-Code/No-Code platforms to automate SAP operations, reduce manual intervention, and improve operational efficiency.
- Scripting & Tooling — Automate routine SAP tasks, workflows, and integrations using scripting languages such as Python, Shell,
and Groovy.
Observability & Monitoring
- Observability Frameworks — Develop and implement observability frameworks for SAP systems to track system health, performance, and proactively identify issues.
- Log Analytics & Monitoring — Integrate log analytics platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic) and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for real-time observability and incident detection.
- Dashboards & Alerting — Build dashboards, alerts, and event-aggregation pipelines that give SRE and SAP Basis teams actionable signals.
AI-Powered Reliability
- AI & Predictive Ops — Implement AI-powered automation for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and enhanced decision-making within SAP systems.
- Intelligent Automation — Continuously identify opportunities where AI/ML can reduce noise, surface root causes faster, and prevent incidents.
CI/CD & DevOps for SAP
- CI/CD Optimization — Optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation processes within SAP environments to ensure continuous integration and delivery of updates.
- Release Engineering — Standardize deployment and release practices to improve change success rates and reduce lead time.
Incident Management & On-Call
- On-Call Support — Participate in the on-call rotation for incident management and troubleshooting, using automation to resolve issues efficiently and minimize downtime.
- Postmortems & Learning — Drive postmortems and reliability reviews; translate learnings into automated guardrails, runbooks, and monitors.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Cross-Functional Delivery — Partner with SAP Basis, Platform Engineering, Security,
and Application teams to build automated solutions and workflows that improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement — Continuously improve observability and automation by developing scripts, tools, and reusable components that raise the reliability bar.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a focus on SAP environments.
- Hands-on experience with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism for automating SAP workflows.
- Proficiency with Low-Code/No-Code platforms (e.g., PowerApps, Mendix, OutSystems) for rapid application development and SAP automation.
- Strong scripting experience in Python, Shell, and/or Groovy to automate and configure SAP processes and observability solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SAP monitoring tools and frameworks for performance optimization, event aggregation, and observability.
- Experience with log analytics platforms such as Splunk or the Elastic Stack to collect and analyze SAP logs and resolve issues.
- Solid understanding of event aggregation, incident management, and alerting systems in SAP environments.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection in SAP systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while delivering high-quality automation and observability solutions.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud-based automation tools such as AWS Lambda or Azure Logic Apps for SAP automation and integration.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying automation and observability solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or other open-source monitoring and observability tools in SAP contexts.
- Exposure to SAP BTP, SAP Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM for modern SAP operations.
- Certifications in RPA, Low-Code/No-Code platforms, AI, or Site Reliability Engineering are a plus.
We value curiosity, ownership, and a bias toward automation. If you love making complex SAP systems more reliable, we want to hear from you.
