Role Summary

Olectra Greentech Limited is seeking an experienced Manager / Senior Manager – Power Electronics & EV Drivetrain to lead the development of next-generation electric propulsion and charging systems for commercial electric buses and trucks. The role will drive product development across traction motors, motor controllers, transmissions, onboard/offboard charging systems, and DC-DC converters while leading multidisciplinary engineering teams from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the complete Power Electronics and EV Drivetrain function comprising:

- Traction Motors
- Motor Controllers/Inverters
- Transmission Systems
- On-Board Chargers (OBC)
- Off-Board Chargers
- DC-DC Converters

- Define technology roadmaps for EV powertrain and drivetrain systems.
- Lead architecture, design, simulation, development, testing, validation, homologation, and manufacturing support.
- Manage cross-functional teams of electrical, electronics, mechanical, software, and validation engineers.
- Establish engineering processes, design standards, documentation, and quality practices.
- Drive supplier identification, technical evaluation, localization,



and technology partnerships.
- Conduct technical design reviews, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Define laboratory infrastructure, validation facilities, and resource planning.
- Represent the organization at global technology conferences, supplier meetings, and industry exhibitions.

Technical Competencies

- Strong expertise in EV Power Electronics, Electric Drives, and Motor Control.
- Hands-on experience with:

- Traction Motors (PMSM, IPM, SPM, IM, SRM)
- Motor Controllers and Inverters
- EV Charging Systems
- Power Conversion Systems

- Strong understanding of motor control algorithms:

- Field Oriented Control (FOC)
- Vector Control
- Direct Torque Control (DTC)
- Scalar Control

- Experience in electrical machine design using:

- Ansys Maxwell
- JMAG
- Motor-CAD
- MotorSolve

- Working knowledge of:

- CAN, RS232, RS485, UART
- Analog & Digital Electronics
- Embedded Controllers and Processors

- Exposure to PCB design tools:

- Altium
- OrCAD
- Mentor Graphics/PADS
- Zuken CR-5000

- Experience with CAD and simulation tools:

- ANSYS
- SolidWorks
- Creo
- Mathcad

- Knowledge of thermal design, CFD analysis, reliability engineering, and mechanical packaging.




- Good understanding of single-speed and multi-speed EV transmission systems.

Key Deliverables

- Deliver robust and cost-effective EV drivetrain and charging solutions.
- Lead multiple product development programs from concept to SOP.
- Develop engineering standards, DFMEA, DVP&R;, validation plans, and design documentation.
- Build a high-performing engineering team through mentoring and capability development.
- Support supplier development and technology localization initiatives.
- Improve product quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
- Present technical updates and strategy recommendations to senior management.
