Associate Mechanical Engineer Execution (Data Center Construction)

- Oversee on-site mechanical execution and quality assurance for mission-critical data center construction projects, ensuring proper installation of HVAC and cooling systems.
- Manage day-to-day coordination of mechanical contractors, verifying installation compliance with approved design documents, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress of chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, piping installations, ductwork, and air distribution systems, identifying deficiencies and non-conformances early.
- Review and approve mechanical contractor submittals, RFIs, and material substitution requests in coordination with design team and client standards.
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and coordinate equipment delivery schedules to align with construction milestones and critical path activities.
- Lead pre-commissioning activities including flushing, pressure testing, balancing, and start-up of mechanical systems to ensure readiness for commissioning.
- Monitor construction schedule adherence for mechanical scope,



proactively identifying delays and implementing recovery plans to maintain project timeline.
- Facilitate coordination meetings between mechanical, electrical, and controls contractors to resolve interface issues and optimize system integration.
- Maintain comprehensive construction documentation including daily reports, punch lists, test records, and as-built markups for turnover.
- Requires hands-on construction experience with data center mechanical systems, strong understanding of installation best practices, ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, excellent problem-solving skills, and capacity to manage multiple contractors simultaneously in demanding, fast-tracked construction environments where downtime risk must be minimized.
