Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps, Release Engineering & Oracle EBS Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and enterprise release management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing and automating Oracle EBS Release 12.2 environments, designing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, and driving cloud-native deployments across AWS environments. The candidate should also have experience leveraging Generative AI tools to improve operational efficiency, automation, and release engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle EBS Release Engineering & Automation

- Manage end-to-end build, release, deployment, patching, and upgrade activities for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2 environments.
- Automate Oracle EBS technology stack maintenance, CPU (Critical Patch Update) implementation, and environment provisioning.
- Design and develop automation solutions for Oracle EBS patching, upgrades, cloning, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure Oracle EBS application availability, reliability, and compliance through standardized deployment processes.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, and support teams for successful EBS releases and upgrades.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for Oracle EBS platform automation and operational excellence.

DevOps & CI/CD Engineering

- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TFS/VSTS, and Git.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and release workflows across multiple environments.
- Improve software delivery efficiency through pipeline optimization and deployment automation.
- Implement best practices for source control, branching strategies, versioning, and release governance.

Cloud Infrastructure & IaC





- Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, Lambda, and S3.
- Build Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate environment provisioning, configuration management, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Ensure infrastructure security, scalability, and high availability.

Containerization & Kubernetes

- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure and support Kubernetes-based application deployments.
- Monitor cluster performance and optimize workload scalability and reliability.

Release & Deployment Management

- Plan, coordinate, and execute production releases across enterprise environments.
- Lead release readiness reviews, deployment planning, rollback procedures, and post-release validation.
- Support upgrade testing, defect triage, and issue resolution activities.
- Work closely with development, QA, operations, and business teams to ensure successful software releases.

Automation & Scripting

- Develop reusable automation frameworks and operational tools using PowerShell, Shell Scripting, and Perl.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability.
- Create deployment, monitoring, patching, and maintenance automation solutions.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

- Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical applications and infrastructure.
- Drive reliability improvements through automation, monitoring, and incident management.




- Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.

AI-Driven DevOps

- Leverage Generative AI tools such as Cline, Aider, and other AI-assisted development platforms.
- Explore AI-driven automation opportunities in scripting, deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Evaluate and implement modern DevOps innovations, including AI-assisted platform engineering.

Qualification

For this JD, the qualifications are:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 6-10 years of experience in Oracle EBS technical development.

- Strong experience in Oracle EBS Release 12.2 administration, patching, cloning, and upgrade automation.
- Experience automating Oracle EBS Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and technology stack maintenance.
- Experience implementing enterprise DevOps transformations.
- Knowledge of SRE principles and operational excellence.
- Experience with Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience migrating legacy repositories and deployment systems to modern CI/CD platforms.
- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
