Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Senior Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and supporting SAP technical solutions. The candidate should have extensive experience across RICEFW objects and be capable of working closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and other technical teams.
The role requires strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to independently manage technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions based on functional and business requirements.
- Develop and enhance RICEFW objects, including:
- Reports
- Interfaces
- Conversions
- Enhancements
- Forms
- Workflows

- Analyze functional specifications and prepare detailed technical specifications.
- Develop classical, interactive, and ALV reports.
- Develop and support interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and file-based integration.
- Implement enhancements using BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, enhancement spots, and implicit or explicit enhancements.
- Develop and maintain Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
- Support data migration and conversion programs using BDC, LSMW, BAPIs, and custom programs.
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, code correction, and performance optimisation.
- Conduct technical unit testing, support system integration testing, and resolve defects.




- Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP development standards and project-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with functional consultants across relevant SAP modules to understand requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
- Support SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and production-support activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, test evidence, code review documentation, and deployment instructions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
- Coordinate with onsite and offshore stakeholders and communicate technical risks, dependencies, and progress effectively.
- Required Skills and Experience

- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong experience in developing and supporting RICEFW objects.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, modularization techniques, function modules, and object-oriented ABAP.
- Hands-on experience with reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, proxy interfaces, and integration mechanisms.
- Strong experience with enhancement techniques such as BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, and enhancement frameworks.
- Experience with Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
- Robust debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
- Knowledge of SAP transport management and development lifecycle processes.




- Experience in preparing technical specifications and conducting code reviews.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical deliverables.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Knowledge of CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and SAP Gateway.
- Exposure to ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse.
- Understanding of SAP Fiori application integration and backend development.
- Experience with SAP workflows and versatile workflows.
- Experience in SAP implementation, rollout, migration, or upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of clean-core principles and modern SAP development practices.
- Previous experience in the Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical-device industry will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of validated systems, regulatory requirements, or GxP-compliant environments is desirable.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant SAP ABAP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
