Role Overview

The Purchase Sr. Executive role presents an exciting opportunity to manage procurement of pharmaceutical formulation materials, excipients, packaging materials, and laboratory consumables. Responsibilities include sourcing HPLC/GC columns, glassware, reference standards, and impurities, driving vendor negotiation and commercial evaluation, and utilizing SAP/ERP systems for efficient procurement. The ideal candidate has 6 to 8 years of pharmaceutical procurement experience, a solid vendor network, and exposure to both domestic and import procurement.

A Challenging Task

- Handle procurement of pharmaceutical formulation materials for manufacturing and R&D; requirements.
- Source excipients and packaging materials, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery compliance.
- Manage procurement of HPLC Columns, GC Columns, Glassware, Reference Standards, Impurities, and Laboratory Consumables.
- Utilize SAP / ERP systems for purchase order processing, tracking, and reporting.
- Conduct vendor negotiation and commercial evaluation to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with QC, QA, R&D;, and Warehouse teams to align procurement with operational needs.
- Handle both domestic and import procurement activities, ensuring timely material availability.

A Convincing Background

- 6 to 8 years of pharmaceutical formulation procurement experience.
- Hands-on experience in excipients, packing materials, QC consumables, impurities, columns, and glassware procurement.
- Exposure to SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Strong vendor network within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience handling both domestic and import procurement.
- Strong vendor negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
