Overview:

- We're looking for an analytical SDET who lives in the requirements someone who deep-dives specs, uncovers the corner cases others miss, and brings well-reasoned test strategies to the team. This is a testing role backed by solid automation and AI-assisted testing skills, for someone who takes ownership, works independently, and collaborates closely across product, engineering, and design to ship high-quality software. Be ready to get on a next-gen, AI-enabled QA process.

Key Role & Responsibilities

- Deep-dive requirements to understand intended behaviour, then surface gaps, ambiguities, and risks early.
- Identify corner cases, boundary conditions, and failure modes beyond the happy path.
- Create thorough test cases, scenarios, and test plans grounded in real analysis of the product.
- Execute manual functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Work closely with the dev team to build deep, lasting understanding of product features over time.
- Act as an internal product manager validate all new feature requests.
- Partner with the customer success team, enabling their operations with strong product understanding.
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools for test generation, validation, and defect analysis.
- Continuously upgrade existing automation systems using AI-assisted approaches.
- Conduct UX testing for usability, accessibility, and a seamless user experience.
- Perform white-box testing: validate data with SQL/Mongo and carry out API testing (Postman/Swagger).
- Log, track, and drive defects to resolution with clear, reproducible reporting.





Test Strategy & Analysis

- This role is anchored in analytical rigor not just execution:
- Break down complex, ambiguous requirements and reason about how a system can break.
- Design test coverage around risk, not just scripted steps.
- Raise assumptions and edge cases with product and engineering before they become defects.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 2-3 years in QA with a strong manual and functional testing foundation.
- Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills able to break down complex requirements and reason about how a system can break.
- Proven ability to identify non-obvious corner cases and edge conditions.
- A collaborative approach to validating assumptions and raising risks early with product and engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred), Selenium, or a similar automation framework.
- Positive-to-moderate coding ability in Python or TypeScript for scripting and reading code.
- API testing experience (Postman/Swagger) and working SQL/Mongo knowledge.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working.




- Ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across product, engineering, and design.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to AI/LLM application testing validating model responses, RAG behaviour, or basic model evaluation.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and techniques.
- Experience working in startup environments with lean QA/engineering teams.
