Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server Engineer with a strong focus on VMWare and Windows technologies, supported by solid general experience across server, storage, and networking environments. A key requirement for this role is high-level proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken) , as the position involves regular communication with Spanish-speaking stakeholders and teams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving enterprise infrastructure platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across virtualised and physical environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, support, and maintain VMWare environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).

- Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including core services such as Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.

- Perform day-to-day server operations including monitoring, patching, backup, and performance optimisation.

- Support storage and networking components related to server infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and capacity.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.

- Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders, including Spanish-speaking users, to deliver technical support and solutions.

- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement initiatives.

- Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and system diagrams.





- Ensure infrastructure aligns with security standards and operational best practices.

Key Skills

- Robust hands-on experience with VMWare (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).

- Proven expertise in Windows Server administration.

- General infrastructure skills covering servers, storage, and networking concepts.

- Experience with patching, backup, and disaster recovery processes.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across infrastructure components.

- Fluent Spanish (written and spoken) essential for this role.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

- Strong documentation and organisational skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3+ years of experience in a Server Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer role.

- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-scale VMWare and Windows environments.

- Relevant certifications such as VMWare VCP , Microsoft Windows Server , or similar are highly desirable.

- Experience working in international or multilingual environments is an advantage.
