Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Structural Steel Checker with strong expertise in Tekla Structures and structural steel detailing for US-based projects. The candidate will be responsible for checking 3D models, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and other detailing deliverables to ensure accuracy, constructability, quality, and compliance with AISC standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and check 3D structural steel models developed in Tekla Structures.
- Check GA drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings.
- Verify structural steel members, connections, dimensions, welds, bolts, and fabrication details.
- Check anchor bolt plans, material take-offs (BOM), and related reports.
- Ensure drawings and models comply with AISC standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Identify modeling, detailing, and constructability issues and provide clear corrections/markups.
- Review miscellaneous steel such as stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, gratings, and embeds.
- Coordinate with Modelers, Detailers, Engineers, and Project Managers to resolve technical discrepancies.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality of project deliverables.




- Maintain checking records, revisions, and QA/QC documentation.
- Complete checking activities within project schedules and required quality standards.
- Support the team in resolving technical and detailing-related issues.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures.
- Good knowledge of Structural Steel Detailing and Fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of AISC standards and US detailing practices.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of steel connections, welding, bolting, fabrication, and erection.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in structural steel detailing/checking.

Experience

5–8 years of relevant experience in Structural Steel Detailing/Checking, preferably on US-based projects.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
