We are looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Accountant to manage accounting, costing, inventory valuation, production cost analysis, and financial reporting for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, cost control, inventory management, and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities related to manufacturing operations.
- Prepare and analyze product costing and production cost reports.
- Calculate and monitor costs related to raw materials, direct labour, and manufacturing overheads.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Monitor production expenses and identify cost variances.
- Conduct cost and variance analysis and highlight unusual deviations.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, management reports, and financial statements.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Reconcile inventory, purchase, production, and accounting records.
- Monitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and profitability.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Operations teams for accurate cost data.
- Support internal and statutory audits.




- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting.
- Good understanding of inventory and production processes.
- Experience in product costing, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA / CMA / ACCA or relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing company is preferred.
