Asiaville is a leading Malayalam digital media and content platform creating entertainment-led content for audiences across digital platforms. Along with our in-house content ecosystem, we work with external platforms, entertainment companies and content partners to produce high-quality serialized and short-form video content.

As we continue to expand our production partnerships, we are looking for an experienced and highly organized Line Producer to manage the end-to-end production execution of partner and original content projects.

Role Overview

The Line Producer will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing productions from pre-production through final delivery.

The role requires strong on-ground production expertise, budget management skills, crew and artist coordination, scheduling ability and the ability to work effectively across creative, production and post-production teams.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing fast-paced digital productions and taking ownership of multiple production requirements while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within the approved budget and as per the required quality and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Pre-Production

- Break down scripts and creative requirements into practical production requirements.
- Prepare detailed shooting schedules, production plans and daily call sheets.
- Coordinate locations, artists, crew, equipment, costumes, props and other production requirements.
- Plan production logistics based on the approved budget and schedule.
- Identify potential production challenges in advance and develop practical solutions.
- Ensure all necessary permissions, arrangements and resources are in place before the shoot.

On-Set Production Management

- Take ownership of day-to-day production operations during shoots.
- Coordinate closely with the Director, DOP, artists, crew and production team to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor the shooting schedule and ensure planned scenes are completed within the allotted time.
- Manage on-ground logistics, transportation, meals, accommodation and other production requirements where applicable.
- Resolve production-related issues quickly and efficiently during the shoot.
- Ensure proper coordination between creative requirements and production limitations.
- Maintain discipline around production schedules, resources and approved budgets.

Budget & Cost Management





- Prepare and maintain production budgets in coordination with the relevant internal teams.
- Track production expenses and ensure spending remains within approved budgets.
- Coordinate vendor quotations, negotiations and production-related purchases.
- Maintain proper records of production expenses, invoices and supporting documents.
- Identify opportunities to optimize production costs without compromising the required quality.

Artist & Crew Coordination

- Coordinate with actors, supporting artists, directors, technicians and other production crew.
- Manage artist and crew availability, schedules and call times.
- Coordinate contracts, requirements and production-related communication where applicable.
- Ensure all key personnel are aligned with the shooting schedule and production plan.

Post-Production Coordination

- Coordinate with editors and post-production teams to ensure timely completion of episodes/content.
- Manage the handover of footage and production materials to the post-production team.
- Ensure footage, files and production assets are properly organized, labelled and documented.
- Track editing, dubbing, music, graphics, subtitles and other post-production requirements.
- Coordinate feedback and revisions from internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure final content is delivered according to the technical specifications and deadlines agreed with the partner/platform.

Partner & Client Coordination

- Coordinate production requirements with external content partners and platforms such as KUKU TV, Story TV and similar production partners.
- Understand partner requirements, production schedules and delivery expectations.
- Maintain clear communication regarding production progress, schedules, requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate approvals, feedback and revisions throughout the production process.
- Ensure partner deliverables are completed accurately and within the agreed timelines.

Production Documentation & Tracking

- Maintain production schedules, call sheets and daily production reports.
- Maintain artist, crew, vendor and location details.
- Track episode-wise production progress and delivery status.
- Maintain proper documentation for production expenses and vendor payments.




- Ensure systematic organization and handover of production assets and footage.
- Maintain production trackers to provide clear visibility on project progress.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of the end-to-end video production process.
- Excellent production planning and organizational skills.
- Robust understanding of shooting schedules, production logistics and on-set operations.
- Good budget management and cost-control abilities.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage artists, crew, vendors and multiple production requirements simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in fast-paced production environments.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing production requirements.
- Good understanding of digital content production and short-form/episodic content.
- Proficiency in production planning and documentation tools such as Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in production documentation and content handovers.
- Ability to coordinate effectively between creative, production and post-production teams.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Film Production, Mass Communication, Media, or a related field is preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in film, television, digital content, OTT or production environments.
- Prior experience as a Line Producer, Production Manager, Production Coordinator or similar role will be preferred.
- Experience handling digital series, micro-dramas, short-form content or episodic productions will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with external production partners, OTT platforms or digital content companies will be an advantage.
- Candidates with strong hands-on production experience and proven on-ground execution capabilities are encouraged to apply.
