Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and student-focused PGT Chemistry who can effectively teach Chemistry to Classes XI and XII, prepare students for board examinations, and foster scientific thinking through practical, application-based and experiential learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach concepts with clarity using activity-based, experiential and application-oriented methodologies.
- Prepare students effectively for CBSE Board Examinations, including regular assessments and remedial support.
- Conduct and supervise Chemistry practicals and laboratory activities with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question papers, assignments and other academic resources.
- Integrate ICT, smart-class tools and digital learning resources into classroom teaching.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, problem-solving and scientific aptitude.
- Monitor student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide timely feedback and individual academic support to students.
- Participate in PTMs,
departmental meetings, school events and academic planning.
- Mentor students and contribute to their overall academic and personal development.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes, examination patterns and emerging pedagogical practices.
- Ensure discipline, classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Maintain proper laboratory discipline, chemical handling and emergency/safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. from a recognised institution.
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE Class XI–XII Chemistry curriculum.
- Relevant teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level preferred.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and smart-class technology.
Preferred Skills
- Strong command of Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts through demonstrations and real-life applications.
- Experience in preparing students for CBSE Board examinations and competitive examinations.
- Strong practical/laboratory skills.
- Ability to create engaging worksheets, assessments and enrichment activities.
- Collaborative attitude and commitment to continuous career development.
