Role Title - Software Engineering Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking aSoftware Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery for amission-critical Contact Center technology platform, with a primary focus onplatform engineering (ReactJS Java/Spring Boot microservices) andequal depth in AI/GenAI engineering (Python LLMs).

The platform is built withReactJS (UI) andJava/Spring Boot (backend) and supports a highly integrated enterprise ecosystem. Alongside platform modernization and production stability, this role will design and deliverGenAI capabilities such asagent assist, summarization, knowledge retrieval, and workflow automation usingLLMs, RAG, and agentic orchestration frameworks.

This role includespeople leadership for a small team while remaininghands-on in architecture, code quality,



and production issue resolution.

Responsibilities
Platform Engineering

Lead design and delivery ofenterprise-grade UI and backend services usingReactJS andJava/Spring Boot.Drivemicroservices architecture, API design, and integration patterns across a complex enterprise ecosystem.Own end-to-end delivery across SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.Establish and enforce engineering best practices forcode quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.Optimize system performance forhigh-volume, real-time, latency-sensitive workflows.

GenAI / AI Engineering
Design and buildLLM-powered applications usingPython for enterprise use cases (e.g., agent assist, summarization, knowledge retrieval, workflow automation).ImplementRAG solutions (embeddings retrieval vector search) tuned for relevance, latency, and reliability.Buildagentic workflows and tool-using patterns using frameworks such asLangChain / LangGraph (or equivalent orchestration approaches).Define and drive AI quality practices includingevaluation, monitoring signals, accuracy tuning, and continuous improvement loops.SupportLLM stack upgrades and AI platform evolution aligned to roadmap and operational requirements.Integrate GenAI services into platform workflows via well-designedAPIs, service interfaces, and security/compliance-aligned patterns.

Production Reliability Operational Excellence
Own production stability for both platform and AI components; leadincident triage, root cause analysis, and preventative fixes.Drive observability improvements across systems: monitoring, logging, alerting, and reliability metrics for critical workflows.Ensure operational readiness for releases, peak events, and production rollouts.

People Leadership
Manage, mentor, and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, and technical guidance.Build a culture ofownership, accountability, and engineering excellence.Support hiring and onboarding for blendedplatform GenAI talent.

Qualifications

Education:





- Any bachelor’s degree

Experience:

- 11 - 13 years of software engineering experience with2-4 years in a technical lead or engineering manager role.
- Proven experience deliveringlarge-scale distributed systems and owning production outcomes.
- Strong experience working inAgile/Scrum delivery models.

Required Technical Skills — Platform

Strong experience with:
Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservicesReactJS (or modern UI frameworks) and UI integration patterns

Working knowledge of:
Cloud (AWS/Azure) andOpenShift/KubernetesCI/CD and DevOps practicesPerformance tuning and operational readiness for enterprise systems

Required Technical Skills — GenAI

Strong hands-on experience with:
Python for production servicesLLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval patternsRAG architectures and vector database conceptsAgentic orchestration (LangChain/LangGraph or equivalent)

Experience operationalizing AI systems with focus on:
Reliability, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement

Leadership Collaboration
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to translate requirements into technical execution.Comfortable providing hands-on technical leadership during design reviews and production scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Healthcare orPharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domainExperience with Contact Center platforms, agent workflows, or CRM-integrated systems.Experience delivering AI-powered enterprise features (agent assist, summarization, knowledge systems, workflow automation).Certifications inCloud, Kubernetes, or Agile are a plus.
