Job Summary

We are looking for a business analyst to support the development and enhancement of the VLIMS application. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; translating them into functional specifications; and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling complex workflows, data-driven systems, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

· Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and operational workflows.

· Analyze existing processes and identify gaps, improvements, and automation opportunities.

· Prepare detailed BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs, user stories, and use cases.

· Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams.

· Collaborate with developers, QA, and project managers throughout the SDLC.

· Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement prioritization.

· Validate delivered features against requirements and assist in UAT.

· Ensure proper documentation of workflows, data structures, and system behavior.

· Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical & Functional Skills – Must Have

· Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Experience in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.

· Ability to create process flows, wireframes,



and functional diagrams.

· Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

· Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good understanding of data-driven applications and workflows.

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

· Experience in the LIMS / laboratory domain is highly preferred.

· Understanding of sample lifecycle, testing workflows, and reporting systems.

· Knowledge of compliance, audit trails, and data validation.

Technical Awareness (Good to Have)

· Basic understanding of APIs, databases (SQL), and system integrations.

· Awareness of frontend/backend interactions (React, .NET preferred).

Soft Skills

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

· Strong documentation and presentation skills.

· Attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Educational Qualification

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, business, or related field.
