Job Description – Crew Manager

The Crew Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of vessel crew, ensuring timely crew planning, recruitment, documentation, certification, travel, joining/sign-off, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage crew requirements and crew rotation plans as per vessel schedules and Minimum Secure Manning requirements.
- Recruit, screen, and coordinate qualified officers and ratings for assigned vessels.
- Verify and maintain CDC/Seaman’s Book, CoC/CoP, STCW certificates, medicals, Flag State endorsements, visas, and other crew documents.
- Monitor document and certificate expiry dates and arrange timely renewals.
- Ensure compliance with STCW, MLC 2006, Flag State, company SMS, and vessel-specific requirements.
- Coordinate sign-on/sign-off, crew changes, and replacements with vessels, agents, and crew members.
- Arrange flights, visas, hotels, transfers, and other crew travel requirements.
- Track crew movements from departure until successful vessel joining and after sign-off.
- Prepare and maintain crew databases, crew matrices, contracts, personnel files, and service records.




- Coordinate with Masters, vessel management, port agents, manning agents, travel agents, HR, and Accounts.
- Handle urgent crew changes, travel disruptions, repatriation, and other crew-related emergencies.
- Support crew welfare, communication, and resolution of crew-related issues.
- Prepare regular crew status, manpower, and compliance reports for management.
- Ensure accurate records and provide documentation support for audits and inspections.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience in Crew Management, Manning, Ship Management, Maritime HR, or Crew Operations.
- Good knowledge of STCW, MLC 2006, Flag State requirements, and seafarer documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vessels, crew movements, and urgent requirements simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and crew management systems.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
