1. Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Veterinary Technology / Veterinary Nursing / Animal Health / Veterinary Science from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certification/registration, where required.
2. Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic, pet hospital, animal hospital, or diagnostic facility.

Job Description
- Assist Veterinary Doctors during clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment of animals.
- Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, and other vital signs.
- Prepare animals for medical procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic tests.
- Assist in minor and major surgical procedures as directed by the Veterinary Surgeon.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments under the direction of the Veterinary Doctor.
- Collect and properly label blood, urine, stool, and other diagnostic samples.
- Assist with laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasound, ECG, and other diagnostic procedures as required.
- Provide post-operative and inpatient nursing care to hospitalized animals.
- Monitor animals during recovery from anesthesia and surgery and immediately report abnormalities.
- Maintain proper feeding, hydration, grooming, hygiene, and comfort of hospitalized pets.
- Restrain and handle animals safely during examination, treatment, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment charts, medication records, and nursing notes.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of examination rooms, kennels, cages, and equipment.
- Follow proper infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines, consumables, surgical materials, and laboratory supplies and report shortages.
- Handle and dispose of biomedical waste, sharps, and other animal-care waste as per hospital protocols.
- Assist in emergency and critical care of animals and promptly inform the Veterinary Doctor of any deterioration.
- Educate pet owners regarding medication, post-operative care, feeding, hygiene, vaccination, and follow-up visits as instructed by the Veterinary Doctor.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of veterinary equipment and instruments.
- Follow all hospital SOPs, safety procedures, and animal welfare standards.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and qualified environment within the pet hospital.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Veterinary Doctor / Hospital Administration.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
