Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test suites for web applications and API using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress.
- Write clear, reusable, and maintainable test code using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Develop end-to-end, integration, and regression test coverage aligned to acceptance criteria and user stories.
- Execute automated test runs locally and within CI/CD pipelines; triage and report failures promptly.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to identify testable requirements early in the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, contribute to test planning, and provide quality sign-off for feature releases.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps; track issues through to resolution.
- Review pull requests for testability and contribute to test code quality standards.

- Continuously evaluate and improve test automation coverage, execution speed, and reliability.
- Contribute to test strategy documentation and quality best practices across the engineering team.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and execute automated test suites for data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based applications on AWS.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across ETL/ELT workflows, data warehouses, and data platforms.
- Leverage AI and ML tools to enhance test coverage, generate test cases, and improve anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Product teams to define quality standards, acceptance criteria, and test strategies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test results across deployment stages.
- Identify, document, and track defects; drive root cause analysis and work with development teams toward resolution.
- Contribute to quality documentation, test plans, and best practices across the engineering organization.
- Participate in code reviews for test code and provide feedback on testability of application designs.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern UI automation tools, a solid understanding of frontend application behavior, and the discipline to build maintainable,

scalable test suites that integrate seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a focus on UI automation.
- Hands-on proficiency with one or more UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript; Python experience is a plus.
- Experience writing page object model (POM) or similar structured test architectures.
- Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, DOM, and browser developer tools.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to analyze test failures, debug issues, and distinguish test flakiness from genuine defects.
- Experience with API testing to complement UI coverage (Postman or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

Preferences:

- Experience testing Angular, single-page applications.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and standards (WCAG, axe-core, Lighthouse).
- Exposure to visual regression testing tools such as Percy or Applitools.
- Experience with cross-browser and mobile testing strategies.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
