Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines accurately as per valid prescriptions and medication orders.
- Verify prescriptions for correct drug, dosage, quantity, route, and frequency.
- Maintain proper records of medicines, stock, purchase, issues, returns, and expiry dates.
- Monitor pharmacy inventory and ensure timely replenishment of essential medicines.
- Check and segregate expired, damaged, and recalled medicines appropriately.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines, including temperature-sensitive products.
- Handle controlled and high-alert medications as per hospital policies and statutory requirements.
- Provide appropriate information to patients regarding medication usage, dosage, precautions, and storage.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses,



and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy, infection control, medication safety, and hospital quality standards.
- Participate in stock audits, medication audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, organization, and proper documentation.

Qualification

- B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
