SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER – INDUSTRIAL PROJECT

1. JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Senior Project Engineer to manage and supervise the execution of an Industrial Construction Project at Vatva, Ahmedabad.

The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing civil and structural works at the project site while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and client requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong site execution experience in industrial projects, RCC works, structural works, industrial buildings/sheds, foundations, flooring, equipment foundations, and associated civil works.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Project Planning & Execution

- Plan and supervise day-to-day project execution activities.
- Ensure project work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project schedule.
- Monitor progress against planned targets and identify delays or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned project activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

B. Civil & Structural Works

- Supervise execution of industrial civil construction works.
- Monitor RCC foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs, pedestals, equipment foundations, flooring, drains, roads, and other civil works.
- Coordinate structural steel erection and related activities wherever applicable.
- Check reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Ensure construction is carried out according to approved structural and architectural drawings.
- Coordinate with structural and design teams for technical clarifications.

C. Drawing & Technical Coordination

- Read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
- Verify site dimensions and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
- Coordinate with consultants/design teams for revisions and technical issues.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, RFIs, and site instructions.

D. Quality Control

- Ensure construction activities comply with approved quality standards.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspection and testing.
- Monitor concrete quality, reinforcement, formwork, welding, structural erection, and finishing works.
- Ensure required inspection requests and quality documentation are completed.
- Identify defective work and coordinate corrective actions.




- Ensure materials used at site meet approved specifications.

E. Site Supervision & Manpower Management

- Supervise engineers, supervisors, contractors, and site workers.
- Allocate manpower according to project requirements.
- Monitor contractor productivity and work quality.
- Coordinate multiple agencies working simultaneously at the project site.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, tools, and materials.

F. Material & Resource Coordination

- Coordinate with the Purchase/Stores department for timely availability of construction materials.
- Prepare material requirements based on project activities.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely delivery and execution.

G. Safety Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with company and project safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Safety Officer regarding site safety requirements.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
- Ensure safe working practices for excavation, lifting, scaffolding, work at height, welding, cutting, concreting, and other activities.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and safety inspections.

H. Client & Contractor Coordination

- Coordinate with the client, consultant, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and discuss project progress and technical matters.
- Address site-related technical issues promptly.
- Maintain professional communication with all project stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving disputes related to measurements, drawings, execution, and quality.

I. Project Documentation

- Maintain daily progress records and site reports.
- Maintain measurement records and work completion records.
- Assist in preparation and verification of RA Bills.
- Maintain material reconciliation and consumption records.
- Prepare site inspection reports, work schedules, and progress reports.
- Maintain proper documentation for project handover and completion.

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Education:

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering may be considered based on relevant experience.

Experience:

- Preferably 5-6 years of relevant experience in civil/industrial construction projects.
- Candidates with strong experience in industrial projects, factories, warehouses, PEB structures, RCC structures, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.

7. REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reports To: Project Manager / Project Head
Coordinates With: Site Engineers, QA/QC Team, Safety Team, Planning Team, Purchase & Stores Team, Contractors, Subcontractors, Consultants, and Client Representatives.

8. JOB LOCATION

Vatva, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

The candidate should be willing to work at the project site and coordinate with project teams as required.

9. SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary: As per Technical Round, relevant experience, and candidate's technical competency.

Final compensation will be discussed and finalized based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge, project exposure, and performance during the selection process.

10. PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

Candidates with experience in industrial construction projects, factory buildings, warehouses, PEB structures, RCC structures, heavy industrial foundations, structural steel works, or EPC projects will be preferred.

Candidates should be capable of independently handling site execution activities and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
