Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:

- Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers.
- Monitor database performance and conduct regular tuning.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Security & Compliance:

- Manage user access and permissions.
- Implement database security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Performance Optimization:

- Optimize SQL queries and database structures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Collaboration & Documentation:

- Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Innovation & Leadership:

- Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to process improvements.




- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in database management.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA.
- Robust knowledge of MySQL architecture, replication, clustering, and high-availability setups.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with VM based MySQL deployments.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM).
