Position: Accounts Teacher

Department: Junior College – Commerce

Location: The Rosary Jr. Coll, Salunkhe Vihar.

Role Overview

The Accounts Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and concept-driven lessons in Accountancy to students of the Junior College Commerce stream. The role involves preparing students for Board examinations while developing strong analytical, problem-solving and practical accounting skills.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

-Teach Accountancy to Std XI and XII Commerce students in accordance with the Maharashtra State Board curriculum.

-Prepare lesson plans aligned with the academic calendar and syllabus.

-Deliver interactive and application-based lessons that encourage conceptual understanding.

-Use real-life business examples and practical exercises to simplify accounting concepts.

-Complete the syllabus within the prescribed timelines.

Student Assessment

-Prepare class tests, assignments, worksheets and examinations.

-Evaluate answer sheets and provide timely, constructive feedback.

-Conduct revision sessions and examination preparation programmes.

Classroom Management

-Maintain a disciplined, respectful and positive classroom environment.

-Foster active participation and encourage critical thinking.

-Promote academic integrity and professionalism among students.

Academic Responsibilities





-Maintain assessment records.

-Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.

-Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory.

Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com) – Preferred.

B.Ed. – Preferred.

Strong academic background in Financial Accounting and related Commerce subjects.

Experience

-Previous experience teaching Accountancy at the Higher Secondary or Junior College level is preferred.

-Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and strong communication skills may also apply.

Skills Required

-Excellent knowledge of Financial Accounting and the Maharashtra State Board curriculum.

-Strong communication and classroom management skills.

-Ability to simplify complex accounting concepts.

-Effective lesson planning and assessment skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
