Job Purpose

To ensure the quality, safety, consistency, and compliance of raw materials, in-process products, finished products, and packaging materials, with specific focus on Chocolate and Wafer products.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Testing

- Conduct chemical, physical, and sensory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Perform quality checks for Chocolates, Wafers.
- Monitor product parameters such as moisture, pH, texture, appearance, taste, weight, and other relevant specifications.
- Ensure products meet defined quality standards and specifications.
- Identify quality deviations and initiate corrective and preventive actions.

Raw Material & Packaging Inspection

- Inspect and test incoming raw materials such as cocoa-based ingredients, milk powders, sugar, fats/oils, flour, emulsifiers, flavors, and other ingredients.
- Check packaging materials as per approved specifications.
- Maintain proper records of sampling, testing, and inspection.

In-Process Quality Control

- Monitor critical quality parameters during Chocolate and Wafer production.
- Ensure adherence to process specifications and SOPs.




- Coordinate with Production to control process deviations and minimize product rejection and wastage.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain QC test reports, batch records, COA records, and other quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain laboratory records and calibration records of testing equipment.

Problem Solving

- Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D;, and other departments for continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in the Food, FMCG, Confectionery, Bakery, or related industry.
- Mandatory experience in Chocolates and Wafers.
- Good knowledge of laboratory testing, food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality documentation.
- Valuable analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates currently working in Chocolate, Wafer industry.
- Hands-on experience in QC laboratory and production-floor quality control.
