Job Description – QC Chemist (Liquid Manufacturing)

Position: QC Chemist
Department: Quality Control

Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry
Experience: 1–5 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical QC / Liquid Manufacturing

Job Responsibilities

- Perform routine quality control testing of liquid pharmaceutical formulations such as syrups, oral liquids, solutions and suspensions.
- Conduct analysis of raw materials, packing materials, in-process samples and finished products as per approved specifications and SOPs.
- Perform physical and chemical testing such as pH, viscosity, specific gravity, assay, identification and related tests, as applicable.
- Operate laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, pH meter and other QC instruments.
- Perform in-process quality checks during liquid manufacturing and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Prepare and maintain analytical worksheets, test reports, COAs and other QC documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, SOPs and data integrity requirements.
- Handle and support OOS/OOT investigations, deviations and CAPA.




- Maintain instrument calibration and laboratory equipment records.
- Ensure proper sampling, testing and documentation of materials and products.
- Coordinate with Production and QA departments for quality-related activities and timely release of products.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and follow appropriate safety and chemical handling procedures.
- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits when required.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of pharmaceutical liquid manufacturing and QC testing.
- Good knowledge of GMP, GLP and SOP compliance.
- Practical knowledge of analytical instruments and laboratory procedures.
- Valuable documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Production and QA teams.
