What would you do? To oversee and implement effective project planning, risk assessment, cost management, and scheduling activities for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and compliance with utility standards and regulations.
What are we looking for? • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engg • Degree or certification in Project Management / Risk Management / Cost Control (preferred). • Project risk analysis and mitigation planning • Cost estimation and variance analysis • Scheduling and critical path analysis • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CEA, CERC, state utilities)
• Data-driven reporting and analytics • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills • Enough experience in power utility / EPC / transmission & distribution / generation projects. • Strong exposure to project controls, risk assessment, and cost management systems. • Hands-on experience in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel-based cost models.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Develop Class estimates, budget estimates, and detailed cost models using defined cost methodologies. • Prepare Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and align them with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). • Develop project cost baselines and maintain approved budgets. • Conduct quantity take-offs, benchmarking, and cost validation exercises. • Support procurement and commercial teams with vendor cost assessments and contract budgets. • Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals, and cash flow performance. • Prepare Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Completion (EAC/ECC), and cost forecasts. • Perform variance analysis to identify budget overruns and cost-saving opportunities. • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques including EV, CV, CPI, and forecasting metrics. • Support change control processes and assess the financial impact of scope changes. • Develop monthly cost reports, cost dashboards, and executive presentations. • Collaborate with planning, risk, finance, procurement, and project delivery teams to maintain integrated cost and schedule controls
