About the Role

GC Digital LLP is looking for a WordPress Developer with hands-on experience in building, customizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting WordPress websites.

This is not a general Web Developer position. Strong practical experience with WordPress is mandatory. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with WordPress themes, plugins, Elementor, responsive layouts, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.

You will work closely with our design, content, SEO, and digital marketing teams to develop and maintain websites for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Development Develop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress.

Customize WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.

Build and modify pages using Elementor and other WordPress page builders.

Create responsive and mobile-friendly website layouts.

Manage WordPress plugins, themes, updates, backups, and basic security.

Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, layout issues, and website functionality problems.

Handle website migrations, staging-to-live deployments, and basic database-related tasks when required.

Front-End Development Solid working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.

Good understanding of JavaScript and its practical use in website development.

Convert UI/UX designs into responsive WordPress pages.

Ensure websites work properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.





Make front-end customizations beyond standard page-builder functionality when required.

Website Performance & Optimization

Optimize websites for speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals.

Identify and resolve common website performance issues.

Optimize images, scripts, CSS, plugins, and other website assets.

Follow basic website security and maintenance practices.

Implement basic technical SEO requirements such as proper headings, URLs, image optimization, and mobile responsiveness.

Website Maintenance & Support

Regularly update and maintain existing client websites.

Fix website bugs, broken layouts, forms, menus, and other functionality issues.

Coordinate with the SEO and digital marketing teams for landing pages, campaign pages, tracking integrations, and website changes.

Maintain proper documentation of website credentials, plugins, backups, and technical changes.

Handle multiple client websites and prioritize tasks according to project requirements and deadlines.

Required Skills and experience

Mandatory 1–2 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.

Strong practical knowledge of WordPress.

Experience with Elementor or similar WordPress page builders.

Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience with WordPress themes and plugins.

Ability to troubleshoot WordPress websites independently.

Good understanding of responsive web development.





Good to Have Basic knowledge of PHP and WordPress functions/hooks.

Basic knowledge of MySQL / WordPress database.

Familiarity with cPanel, Plesk, or other hosting control panels.

Experience with website migration, DNS, SSL, backups, and hosting environments.

Understanding of website speed optimization and Core Web Vitals.

Basic understanding of technical SEO.

Experience working in a digital marketing/web development agency.

Who We're Looking For Someone who has actually worked on WordPress websites, not just theoretical knowledge.

A developer who can independently handle day-to-day WordPress development and troubleshooting.

Someone comfortable working with both WordPress and front-end technologies.

Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Good communication and coordination skills. Detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to learn new technologies.

Key Requirement

WordPress experience is mandatory for this position. Candidates whose experience is primarily in general web development, software development, or other technologies without practical WordPress development experience will not be considered.

Candidates should be prepared to share examples/links of WordPress websites they have developed or worked on during the interview process.
