Position: Attorney (India)—California Workers’ Compensation Support Counsel (Remote, supporting California hours)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, licensed attorney in India to support our U.S. law practice on California Workers’ Compensation matters. This role involves supporting cases from start to finish, including both substantive legal work and day-to-day case support responsibilities. This is a remote position supporting U.S. hours.

Attorney candidates are expected to review and understand the fundamentals of California workers’ compensation law, including key statutes, procedures, and practice guidance available on the California Division of Workers’ Compensation website (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/). Please thoroughly review the Workers’ Compensation section prior to your interview, as you may be asked substantive questions regarding these materials.

Responsibilities

· Review and summarize medical, employment, and case records

· Assist with drafting pleadings, petitions, discovery, and correspondence

· Prepare case summaries, timelines, exhibit lists, and research notes

· Help electronically file with the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB)

· Appear remotely as a hearing representative (under supervision of lawyers admitted to practice law in California) for hearings and trials at the WCAB





· Assist in preparing attorneys for hearings and trials before the WCAB

· Maintain accurate case files and calendars (hearings, deadlines, depositions)

· Communicate professionally with clients, counsel, and medical providers

· Conduct focused legal research and provide written outlines

· Support overall case preparation and workflow as needed

Required Qualifications

· LL.B. or LL.M.

· Licensed to practice law in India — active and in valuable standing (Applications without proof of active bar enrollment will not be considered).

· Excellent written and spoken English skills

· Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills

· Ability to work U.S. (California) hours and meet deadlines

· High attention to detail and confidentiality

Work Conditions

· Remote (work from home)

· Monday through Friday

· U.S. / California shift (night shift in India)

Preferred Qualifications

· Prior experience with litigation workflows or insurance/medical record review

· Prior exposure to U.S. legal processes

Compensation

· Competitive (paid in USD), including routine performance bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
