Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Admission Counsellor to guide students and parents through course offerings for NEET/JEE preparation, convert inquiries into enrollments, and help students choose the right learning path based on their academic goals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the competitive exam ecosystem, excellent consultative selling skills, and a proven record of meeting admission targets in an EdTech environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents (via calls, video calls, or in-person meetings) on NEET/JEE course offerings, batches, and study plans
- Understand student's academic background, target exam, and aspirations to recommend the most suitable course/package
- Convert inbound and outbound leads into paid admissions, meeting monthly/quarterly enrollment targets
- Conduct product demos, explain curriculum, faculty credentials, and success stories
- Handle objections related to pricing, course duration, and competitor comparisons
- Follow up consistently with warm/cold leads through calls, WhatsApp, and email
- Maintain accurate lead and conversion data in CRM (e.g., LeadSquared, Salesforce, Zoho)
- Coordinate with the academic/counselling team for post-admission onboarding
- Stay updated on NEET/JEE exam trends, cutoffs, syllabus changes, and competitor offerings




- Participate in webinars, seminars, and parent-student engagement events to drive admissions
- Mentor and support junior counsellors (if in a senior/team lead capacity)
- Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and messaging effectiveness

Required Skills

- Robust consultative and persuasive communication skills (Hindi/English; regional language a plus)
- In-depth knowledge of NEET/JEE exam pattern, competitive exam landscape, and student career pathways
- Proven track record of achieving sales/admission targets in EdTech or coaching institutes
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office/Google Sheets
- Strong follow-up discipline and lead nurturing skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with parents and students
- Objection handling and negotiation skills
- Target-driven with resilience to handle high call/lead volumes

Qualifications

- Graduate (any stream); background in Science/Education preferred
- 4–5 years of experience in admission counselling/telesales, with at least 2+ years specifically in NEET/JEE or competitive exam EdTech
- Prior experience with platforms like Allen, Aakash, Physics Wallah, Unacademy, BYJU'S, Vedantu, etc. is a strong plus

- Average response/follow-up time
- Revenue generated per counsellor

Salary & Perks (example structure)
