Job Summary

LMT Tools India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for skilled Grinding Machine Operators to join its manufacturing team. The selected candidates will be responsible for operating and monitoring precision grinding machines to manufacture high-precision cutting tools and machined components.

The role requires good knowledge of grinding operations, precision measurement, quality standards, production schedules, safety procedures, and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor Grinding Machines as per production requirements.
- Set up grinding machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to process requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and process sheets.
- Perform grinding operations to achieve required dimensions, surface finish, and accuracy.
- Carry out wheel selection, wheel dressing, and basic machine adjustments.
- Perform tool setting and offset corrections wherever required.
- Inspect finished components using Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Bore Gauges, Gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet specified dimensional and quality requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and identify abnormalities during production.
- Maintain production output as per the assigned production schedule.




- Minimize rejection, rework, and material wastage through proper machine operation and inspection.
- Maintain production and quality inspection records.
- Follow 5S, safety, EHS, and housekeeping procedures.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve machine and process-related issues.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and machine efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in grinding or precision manufacturing.
- Experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:
- Precision Engineering
- Cutting Tool Manufacturing
- CNC Machining
- Tooling
- Grinding
- Hobbing
- Machine Tool Industry
- Hands-on experience in grinding machine operation and setting.
- Knowledge of grinding wheels, dressing, and basic grinding parameters.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.
- Positive knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
