As the Lead Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for building and leading the design language of Indiahikes. This includes not just creating design assets, but also shaping how design functions across teams and divisions. You will work across print, digital, visual communication, UI/UX, and brand systems, ensuring consistency, clarity, and quality everywhere Indiahikes shows up.

This role goes beyond Indiahikes alone. You will also help grow and manage design for our subsidiary divisions, such as Crosstrek, Urjino, Indiahikes School of Outdoor (InSOUL), Unexplored India, and other initiatives that emerge over time.

Responsibilities

- Own the overall design direction and quality at Indiahikes across all platforms and formats
- Design and oversee print assets, digital creatives, visual communication systems, UI/UX elements, and brand assets
- Coordinate with designers and design firms and ensure alignment in style, quality, and intent
- Build systems, templates, and processes that make design work scalable and productive
- Identify when specialised design skills are needed and bring in the right designers or studios
- Work with external designers or design firms when required, briefing them clearly and reviewing their work
- Support and guide junior designers through feedback, mentoring, and structured processes
- Work closely with content, marketing, product, and leadership teams to translate ideas into strong visual outcomes
- Ensure that design serves clarity, learning, and trust—core to how Indiahikes communicates

Qualifications Required

- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Lead Graphic Designer with high responsibilities.




- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, with a focus on brand identity and user experience design.
- Experience in designing for both digital and print mediums.
- In-depth knowledge of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- The ability to manage and motivate a design team.
- Alignment with Indiahikes’ values of clarity, thoughtfulness, sustainability, and long-term impact
- A passion for trekking and the outdoors is a plus.

This is a full-time position, based in Bangalore.
