Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused and result-oriented Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our sweets, savouries and restaurant outlets. The candidate will be responsible for outlet operations, customer service, staff supervision, sales performance, inventory control and maintaining company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Outlet Manager in managing the daily operations of the sweets shop and restaurant.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales, service, billing and support staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction at all times.
- Handle customer queries, complaints and service issues professionally.
- Monitor daily sales, cash collection, billing and operational activities.
- Ensure proper display, presentation and availability of sweets, savouries, bakery and food products.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, hygiene and expiry dates.
- Ensure proper stock handling and coordinate with the kitchen/production team for replenishment.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize wastage, pilferage and product damage.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline and performance.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate responsibilities as required.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company SOPs.
- Conduct regular outlet inspections and ensure cleanliness of the sales area, dining area, kitchen and storage areas.




- Coordinate with the accounts team for daily cash closing and reconciliation.
- Support promotional activities, offers and sales initiatives to achieve outlet targets.
- Monitor competitor activities and customer feedback and report observations to management.
- Train and guide staff on customer service, product knowledge and operational procedures.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures of the outlet.
- Coordinate with maintenance and administration teams regarding outlet-related issues.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly operational reports to the Outlet/Operations Manager.

Candidate Profile

- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in sweets, savouries, QSR, restaurant food retail operations.
- Previous experience in outlet supervision/management is preferred.
- Good knowledge of customer service and food retail/restaurant operations.
- Strong leadership and team-handling skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and operational issues.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, POS and billing systems.
- Should be willing to work in rotational shifts, weekends and holidays as per business requirements.
- Knowledge of Tamil and English is preferred; Hindi would be an added advantage.
