The Systems Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and improving software systems and applications that support the organisation’s operations and business objectives. The role involves developing reliable solutions, troubleshooting technical issues and working closely with management and other teams to deliver effective technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain software applications and business systems.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code.
- Develop and maintain databases, APIs and system integrations.
- Test applications and troubleshoot software issues.
- Identify and resolve system errors, bugs and performance issues.
- Maintain and improve existing systems and applications.
- Implement system updates, enhancements and new features.
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable and scalable.
- Integrate third-party platforms and services where required.
- Maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
- Assist with data management and system backups where required.
- Work with management and other departments to understand technology requirements.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, programming languages and development practices.
- Ensure development work follows appropriate security,



coding and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience as a Systems Developer, Software Developer or similar role.
- Experience with relevant programming languages and development frameworks.
- Experience working with databases, APIs and third-party integrations.
