Job Information

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to work with our team on a part-time basis for around 10 hours per week. At Avya Technology, we are building and improving a real-estate platform with an Agent Recommendation Engine. We need someone who can help us understand the data behind the system, find issues, and improve the quality of the recommendations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with data and solving problems. You will be expected to go into the data, investigate issues, find the root cause, and work with our technical team on practical solutions. If you have strong experience with Python, Pandas, Jupyter, MySQL, and SQL and enjoy debugging and analyzing data, we would like to hear from you.

Key Highlights

Work on a real-world real-estate Agent Recommendation Engine. Analyze and debug data that directly impacts recommendations. Identify data issues and find their root cause. Work closely with the development team. Help improve the accuracy and quality of the recommendation engine. Flexible part-time engagement – 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will:

- Analyze and validate data used by the Agent Recommendation Engine.
- Debug MySQL data and SQL queries.
- Identify missing, incorrect, duplicate, or inconsistent data.
- Investigate incorrect or unexpected recommendations.
- Use Python, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebook for data analysis.

- Find the root cause of data-related issues.
- Analyze agent, property, lead, and user data.
- Work with developers to understand and resolve data issues.
- Suggest improvements to data quality and recommendation results.
- Help improve the accuracy and overall performance of the recommendation engine.





Skills & Abilities

Must-Have Skills

- 10+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- Solid hands-on experience with Python.
- Good working knowledge of Pandas and Jupyter Notebook.
- Strong experience with MySQL and SQL.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting data/database issues.
- Strong understanding of data cleaning, validation, and analysis.
- Ability to identify the root cause of data problems.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience with recommendation engines or recommendation systems.
- Understanding of ranking and recommendation logic.
- Experience with Machine Learning or Predictive Analytics.
- Experience working with real-estate, marketplace, lead-generation, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of data pipelines or ETL processes.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and logical thinking. Good problem-solving approach. Curious and investigative mindset. Ability to work independently. Strong ownership of work. Comfortable working with developers and technical teams.
