Position: HVAC Project Manager

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5–10 years in HVAC Projects

Responsibilities

- Plan, manage, and execute HVAC projects from project initiation to final handover.

- Review project scope, BOQ, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.

- Prepare project execution schedules and monitor progress against planned timelines.

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments.

- Manage project manpower, including Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Technicians, and subcontractors.

- Allocate resources effectively and ensure optimum manpower utilization.

- Monitor HVAC installation works including VRF/VRV, Split AC, Cassette AC, Ducting, Copper Piping, Drain Piping, Insulation, AHU and Chiller systems.

- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

- Monitor project costs, material consumption, labour costs, and overall project profitability.

- Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery to project sites.

- Review material requirements, MR/BOQ, purchase requirements, and site stock.

- Identify project risks, technical issues, and delays and implement corrective actions.

- Conduct regular site visits and review project progress with the site team.

- Ensure proper quality control, testing, commissioning, and project handover.

- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with the technical team and client.

- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.

- Monitor project documentation, including drawings, approvals, inspection reports, and handover documents.





- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and company procedures.

- Handle client complaints and resolve project-related issues professionally.

- Conduct regular project review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure projects are completed within the approved scope, budget, quality, and timeline.

- Support the management team in project planning, costing, and future project requirements.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of HVAC project execution and installation.

- Good understanding of VRF/VRV, Split AC, Ducting, Piping, Insulation, AHU and Chiller systems.

- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, BOQ, specifications, and project documents.

- Strong project planning and execution skills.

- Excellent manpower and subcontractor management skills.

- Strong client and consultant coordination skills.

- Positive knowledge of project costing, budgeting, and material management.

- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

- Good communication and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and other project management tools is preferred.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant HVAC project experience.

- Experience in handling commercial, residential, industrial, or large-scale HVAC projects will be preferred.

Salary: As per experience and industry standards.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
