Position: Finance Controller / Head of Finance

Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 8–10 Years
Reporting To: CEO

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially oriented Finance Controller / Head of Finance to lead the organisation's entire Finance & Accounts function for Skincare Manufacturing Company.

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, accounting, taxation, treasury, budgeting, MIS, Ind as financials Statements, audits, internal controls, statutory compliance, working capital management and business finance, COGS & Inventory.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership capabilities, excellent knowledge of accounting and taxation, and the ability to provide meaningful financial insights to the management for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance & Accounting Leadership

- Lead and manage the complete Finance & Accounts function of the organisation.
- Establish and maintain robust accounting policies, processes and financial controls.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly and annual books of accounts.
- Review Ind As financial statements and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.

2. Financial Planning & Budgeting

- Lead the Monthly & Annual budgeting and financial planning process.
- Prepare financial forecasts, business plans and cash-flow projections.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Identify financial risks, cost optimisation opportunities and areas for improving profitability.
- Support management in evaluating new business initiatives and investments.

3. MIS & Management Reporting

- Develop and present periodic MIS reports to senior management.
- Provide insights on revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, profitability, working capital and cash flows.
- Prepare dashboards and financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Analyse business performance and highlight key financial trends and risks.

4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

- Monitor the organisation's cash position and liquidity requirements.
- Prepare and manage cash-flow forecasts.
- Ensure adequate funds are available for operational and strategic requirements.




- Manage banking relationships and oversee banking transactions.
- Monitor receivables, payables and working capital cycles.
- Drive timely collections and effective working capital management.

5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable financial and taxation laws.
- Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Review tax calculations, returns and assessments.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory filings and payments.

6. Audit & Internal Controls

- Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits.
- Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors and consultants.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Identify financial, operational and compliance risks and implement appropriate controls. - Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

7. Cost Control & Profitability

- Monitor operating costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Analyse product/service-wise profitability where applicable.
- Review major expenditures, procurement costs and financial commitments.
- Support management in improving margins and overall profitability.

8. Compliance & Governance

- Ensure proper maintenance of books, records and financial documentation.
- Develop and implement finance policies, SOPs and approval processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain solid financial governance across the organisation.

9. Business Finance & Strategic Support

- Partner with the CEO and business heads on financial decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis for pricing, investments, expansion and other strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate financial feasibility of new projects and business opportunities.




- Provide recommendations based on financial and commercial analysis.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the leadership team.

- Timely and accurate monthly financial closure.
- Accuracy of financial statements and MIS reports.
- Budget vs. actual performance.
- Cash-flow and working capital efficiency.
- Receivables and collections management.
- Statutory and tax compliance without delays or penalties.
- Audit completion and closure of observations.
- Cost optimisation and profitability improvement.
- Effectiveness of internal financial controls.
- Timely and accurate management reporting.

Required Qualifications
- CA Qualified with strong relevant experience will be considered
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, financial reporting and compliance.

Required Experience
- 8–10 years of overall experience in Finance & Accounts.
- At least 3–5 years in a Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Head of Finance / Senior Finance leadership role.
- Experience managing a Finance & Accounts team is essential.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, MIS, taxation, audits and cash-flow management.
- Experience in a growing organisation or multi-business environment will be an advantage.

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
- COGS & Inventory - GST, TDS and Income Tax knowledge.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Financial modelling and analysis.
- MIS reporting and variance analysis.
- Cash-flow and working capital management.
- Internal controls and audit management.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Robust knowledge of ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Dynamics or similar platforms.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
