Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee garment production operations at our Tiruppur manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for planning and executing production schedules, ensuring timely order completion, maintaining quality standards, optimizing manpower and resources, and improving overall production efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in garment manufacturing, particularly in production planning, line management, quality coordination, manpower management, and achieving production targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Management

- Plan, organize, and monitor daily and monthly garment production activities.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved within agreed timelines and capacity.
- Monitor production against planned targets and take corrective action for deviations.
- Coordinate with merchandising, production planning, purchase, stores, quality, and finishing teams.
- Ensure smooth workflow from cutting through sewing, finishing, packing, and dispatch.

Production Efficiency

- Monitor line efficiency, productivity, production capacity, and machine utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures to improve productivity.
- Minimize production downtime, rework, rejection, wastage, and idle manpower.
- Implement systems and processes to improve production efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.

Manpower Management

- Plan manpower requirements based on production schedules and order volumes.
- Allocate manpower effectively across production lines and processes.
- Monitor operator performance, attendance, productivity, and discipline.
- Work closely with supervisors and line in-charges to achieve daily production targets.
- Train and develop production supervisors and operators where required.

Quality & Compliance





- Ensure production is carried out as per approved specifications, samples, measurements, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance team to minimize defects and rejections.
- Identify recurring quality issues and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to factory safety, operational, and compliance requirements.

Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate closely with the Merchandising and PPC teams regarding order priorities, delivery schedules, and production requirements.
- Monitor availability of fabrics, trims, accessories, and other production inputs.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly production reports and performance dashboards.
- Escalate production delays, material shortages, quality issues, and manpower constraints to management.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Textile, Garment Technology, Production, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 8–12 years of relevant experience in garment manufacturing, with strong exposure to production management.
- Robust knowledge of garment production processes including cutting, sewing, finishing, ironing, packing, and dispatch.
- Experience in handling multiple production lines and large teams.
- Strong understanding of production planning, productivity, quality control, and manpower management.
- Good knowledge of garment manufacturing practices and production KPIs.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates with experience in Tiruppur garment manufacturing units will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
