Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with 2–4 years of experience in a similar position to join our engineering team in Delhi. You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, high-performance backend services for our payment platform using Python and Django, delivering robust solutions while working closely with our engineering team and bank integration partners.

Job Responsibilities:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework
* Building and maintaining integrations with partner banks and payment switches, including request handling, callback processing, transaction status reconciliation, and error management
* Writing robust, effective, and maintainable backend code for high-volume transaction processing
* Developing and managing asynchronous tasks and scheduled jobs using Celery, Celery Beat, and Redis
* Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and indexes, and executing database migrations safely in production environments
* Implementing authentication mechanisms and role-based access control across platform services
* Monitoring and optimizing the performance, reliability, and availability of backend services in production
* Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to security, scalability, and best practices in backend development
* Participating in system design discussions covering transaction flows, failure handling, retry logic,



and scalability
* Supporting production systems through deployment activities, log analysis, and incident resolution

Required Skills:
* Min 2 years of work experience in a similar position, up to 4 years
* Strong proficiency in Python, with production experience in Django and Django REST Framework
* Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management
* Experience with task queue and caching technologies such as Celery and Redis is required * Strong understanding of RESTful API design, synchronous and asynchronous processing models, and when to apply each
* Experience integrating and troubleshooting third-party APIs, including bank or payment provider APIs * Working knowledge of Linux server environments, deployment processes, and production log analysis
* Understanding of version control systems such as GIT
* Knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment tools such as AWS (EC2, Secrets Manager), Gunicorn, nginx, and GitHub Actions is a plus
* Experience with performance optimization, security, and monitoring tools for backend applications is preferred
* Familiarity with idempotency, retry strategies, webhook reliability, and reconciliation processes is preferred * Prior experience in fintech, payments, or banking is an advantage
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively within a team workplace
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to delivering reliable, scalable backend systems
* Proficiency in English is required.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
