Qualification

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Note: Candidates with M.Tech or Ph.D. qualifications are requested not to apply, as this position requires hands-on industrial equipment design experience.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing Fermenters, Bioreactors, Pressure Vessels, Stainless Steel Process Equipment, and Process Skids for research laboratories, pilot plants, and industrial manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in preparing manufacturing drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and process equipment layouts while coordinating closely with production and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design fermenters, bioreactors, pressure vessels, mixing tanks, storage tanks, CIP/SIP systems, and process equipment.
- Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for workshop manufacturing.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings and assembly drawings.
- Create manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, welding details, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Generate 2D fabrication drawings from customer requirements and process specifications.
- Coordinate with production teams during fabrication and assembly.
- Modify existing designs based on customer requirements or manufacturing feedback.
- Prepare nozzle orientation drawings and equipment layouts.
- Support installation and commissioning teams with technical drawings.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions.




- Coordinate with procurement for material specifications.
- Assist quality teams during inspections and documentation.

Technical Skills Required

Candidates should have experience in designing:

- CIP/SIP Systems
- Heat Exchangers (preferred)
- Process Piping Layouts
- Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Dairy, Food, or Chemical Process Equipment

Software Skills

Mandatory:

- AutoCAD (2D)

Preferred:

- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Inventor
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Fusion 360
- MS Excel
- MS Office

Preferred Technical Knowledge

Candidates with knowledge of the following will be given preference:

- ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
- Pressure Vessel Design Fundamentals
- GMP Requirements
- Hygienic Equipment Design
- Stainless Steel Fabrication Practices
- Welding Symbols and Standards
- GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Material Selection (SS304, SS316, SS316L, Duplex Stainless Steel)
- Surface Finish Requirements (Food, Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Equipment)
- P&ID; Interpretation
- Mechanical Seals, Agitators, Baffles, and Nozzle Design
- Basic Structural Supports and Skid Design

Essential Candidate Profile

- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical equipment design.




- Strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to independently prepare production-ready drawings.
- Good understanding of workshop fabrication processes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality.
