We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented Engineer – Continuous Improvement & Systems to support our manufacturing and business processes. The role will focus on improving the way EPI plans, monitors, documents, and executes its engineering, procurement, production, and quality activities. This is a great prospect for a Diploma/B.E. holder with experience in a manufacturing environment who is interested in process improvement, data analysis, and building systematic ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for major products and manufacturing processes.
- Define, monitor, and report key manufacturing and quality KPIs, including First Pass Yield (FPY), customer complaints, rework, rejection, delivery performance, and other relevant metrics.
- Conduct capacity studies for manpower, machines, fabrication, assembly, painting, and other critical manufacturing processes.
- Track actual capacity and utilization against planned requirements and highlight potential capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements and supporting quality documentation for major products.
- Assist in identifying recurring production and quality issues and support Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and improve process documentation, formats, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
- Help systemize and standardize workflows across Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Projects.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based trackers, dashboards,
and management reports for operational monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, duplication of data, delays, and process gaps through better systems and workflows.
- Support implementation of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with different departments to understand existing processes and convert them into clear, measurable, and standardized systems.
- Assist management in collecting and analyzing operational data for decision-making and performance reviews.
- Support the development of an integrated system for tracking projects, BOMs, procurement, production, quality, and other business processes.
- Perform other analytical and process-improvement activities as required by management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in understanding how manufacturing systems work.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, assembly, and project-based manufacturing is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of PFMEA, FMEA, RCA, KPI measurement, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
- Ability to understand processes, identify gaps, and convert them into simple systems, formats, and procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with Engineering, Purchase, Production, Quality, Projects, and Management.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with large amounts of operational data.
- Proactive approach with the ability to independently identify areas for improvement.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or project-based industrial company is desirable.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in continuous improvement, production planning, quality systems, or manufacturing analytics will be preferred.
- Freshers with strong analytical skills and relevant project/internship experience may also be considered.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
