The Global Delivery Centre (GDC) in Gurugram is ERM’s global operating backbone. It delivers business enablement services in Finance, HR, IT, and Commercial Operations to ensure ERM’s global business runs seamlessly, efficiently, and consistently.

Why this role matters?

As a Master Data Analyst, you will support ERM's global operations by ensuring enterprise master data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with established governance standards. You will work within the Enterprise Data Management team, partnering with Commercial, Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, and Data stakeholders across regions to maintain high-quality master data and support business-critical processes. This role is critical to improving data integrity, operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and scalability across ERM's global systems landscape.

- Ensure timely and accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of enterprise master data across multiple business systems.
- Improve data quality by identifying, investigating, and resolving master data issues, duplicates, and hierarchy discrepancies.
- Support business stakeholders by providing reliable master data that enables accurate reporting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
- Contribute to process standardization, automation,



and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Maintain compliance with data governance policies, standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support successful adoption and enhancement of ERP, CRM, MDM, and data management solutions across the organization.

What you'll bring

- 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and managing master data within enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality controls, and data stewardship practices.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and service-level commitments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience with:

- Advanced Excel and reporting tools

Preferred

- Experience working in a global shared services or enterprise data management setting.
- Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting ERP, CRM, or data transformation projects.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and AI-enabled data management tools.
- Certification or training in Data Management, Business Analysis, Microsoft technologies, or related disciplines.
- Experience in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

Data Stewardship

- Execute master data creation, maintenance,



enrichment, hierarchy management, archival, and retirement activities.
- Review and process master data requests in accordance with governance policies, business rules, and SLAs.
- Resolve duplicate records, ownership discrepancies, hierarchy issues, and data exceptions.
- Escalate complex data issues and policy exceptions where required.

Business Analysis

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements relating to master data processes.
- Support the documentation of business rules, workflows, process maps, and operational procedures.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution validation activities.
- Assist with CRM, ERP, and MDM system enhancements and implementations.

Process Improvement

- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and process documentation.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
- Support automation initiatives and operational excellence programs.
- Track and report operational KPIs and service metrics.

Data Quality & Analysis

- Monitor data quality metrics and investigate data anomalies.
- Conduct data profiling and root cause analysis.
- Support enterprise-wide data cleansing and standardization initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of master data with business standards and governance requirements.

Governance & Metadata Management

- Maintain business metadata, reference data, and approved data definitions.
- Support governance reviews, audits, and compliance activities.
- Participate in governance forums and stakeholder meetings.

Change Management & Training

- Develop user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
- Support end-user adoption and awareness of master data policies and standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Commercial, Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, and Enterprise Data teams.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for master data-related queries and guidance.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to drive data quality and governance maturity.
