Star Moving Australia is an established international removals and relocation company. We specialize in personal effects, household goods, commercial imports, sea freight, customs clearance and relocation services across Australia.

We are setting up our India support team to coordinate imports during Australian business hours.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Imports Coordinator to join our Imports and International Relocations team.

This is a coordination role where you will manage incoming international shipments from pre-arrival documentation through customs and biosecurity clearance to final delivery. You will act as the main point of contact between Star Moving Australia, overseas agents, customers, customs brokers, shipping lines, and transport providers.

Key Responsibilities

Import Shipment Coordination

- Monitor incoming international shipments including personal effects and household goods

- Track vessels, containers, Bills of Lading and estimated arrival dates

- Review shipment documentation prior to arrival and follow up for missing information

- Maintain accurate shipment status in the company system

Customs and Biosecurity Clearance

- Coordinate clearance with customs brokers and relevant authorities

- Ensure documents such as B534 forms, packing lists, Bills of Lading and delivery orders are complete

- Identify potential biosecurity items and coordinate inspections, treatments and releases as required

- Monitor clearance progress and escalate delays

Customer Service and Communication

- Act as the primary contact for customers during the import process

- Provide updates on shipment arrival, customs clearance, inspections,



charges and delivery

- Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email with clear and qualified communication

- Manage customer expectations regarding potential delays

Supplier and Agent Coordination

- Liaise with international agents, shipping lines, depots, warehouses and transport companies

- Obtain missing documents before shipment arrival

- Confirm service requirements and timelines with suppliers

Delivery and Administration

- Arrange delivery of cleared shipments and confirm access details with customers

- Review supplier invoices and prepare customer charges where required

- Follow up on outstanding payments and assist with reporting

Required Skills and Experience

- 1 to 3 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, customs clearance, or BPO

- Knowledge of import processes and documentation is preferred

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks

- Proficient in MS Office, email and CRM systems

- Experience with personal effects or household goods imports is an advantage

Work Requirements

- Must be able to work from home during *3:30 AM to 12:30 PM IST*

- Must have a quiet workspace, reliable high-speed internet connection and power backup

- Laptop and headset

- Please note: During Australian Winter, May to September, work hours will be 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM IST to align with AEST
