About the role:
The Rural Market & Harvest Executive serves as the key operating link between local farmer clusters and NUS urban markets. The role focuses on gathering verified harvest intelligence, guiding farmers on market requirements, coordinating procurement, and expanding the farmer network toward 1,000+ active farmers.
Responsibilities:
Maintain active farmer relationships and update local crop-and-harvest pipelines.Translate urban buyer demand into practical advisories regarding crop, quantity, and harvest timing.Support farmers with market insights while respecting their production autonomy.Validate supply, coordinate local aggregation, and manage procurement readiness.Ensure accurate digital reporting, field evidence recording, and complete supply traceability.Guide local coordinators as the assigned farmer cluster expands.
Candidate requirements:
Agriculture students or recent graduates from outreach partner colleges.Robust communication, initiative, accuracy, integrity, and rural network reach.Willingness to conduct field visits within home village or assigned rural district.Ownership of a smartphone and readiness for digital data submission.Mandatory registration at the Induction Day Workshop on August 15 & 16, 2026.
