Purpose of the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI / LLM Development Engineer to join our AI team. In this role, you will design and implement production-grade AI solutions, LLM-based applications, and intelligent retrieval systems that deliver measurable business impact. You will be responsible for translating ML/LLM models and prototypes into scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems, while ensuring code quality, engineering standards, and deployment best practices. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Python, AI engineering, MLOps, vector databases, and cloud-based deployments. As a senior member with 7+ years of experience, you will also provide technical leadership, solution guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

- Design & Development: Build production-grade AI applications using Python, APIs, and LLM workflows.
- LLM Solutions: Develop and optimize solutions like RAG pipelines, vector search, and prompt engineering.
- Model Deployment: Convert prototype ML/LLM models into scalable, high-performance inference systems.
- Collaboration: Work with data scientists and DevOps teams for deployment and integration with cloud platforms.
- Quality: Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices for AI systems.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues and ensure system reliability.
- Agile Participation: Contribute to sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Conduct code reviews as a lead and mentor junior engineers.

Work and Technical Experience:





Essential Skills:

- Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience developing scalable production applications.
- Hands-on experience with ML and data libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of LLM architectures (GPT, BERT, T5, LLaMA), embeddings, and fine-tuning.
- Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), FAISS/Elasticsearch, and vector databases.
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and model deployment tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms and ML services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of SQL and data pipelines for feature engineering and inference.
- Proven track record of delivering real-world, production-grade AI solutions.

Desirable Skills:

- Familiarity with agentic workflows and model orchestration frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, API design, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience implementing automated testing and monitoring for ML/LLM services

Qualification:

- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML applications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred

Qualities:

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues in production environments
- Solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and establishing coding standards and best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with changing priorities
