A reputed multi-speciality hospital in Kadi is looking for a skilled and responsible OT Technician to support the surgical and clinical team in the smooth and safe functioning of the Operation Theatre.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of OT procedures, sterilisation, surgical instruments and infection-control practices and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled procedures and surgeries.
- Ensure all required surgical instruments, equipment and consumables are available and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons, nurses and other clinical staff during surgical procedures.
- Handle and maintain surgical instruments and OT equipment appropriately.
- Assist with the cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of instruments and equipment.
- Follow proper infection-control and aseptic techniques.
- Ensure the OT is properly prepared before and after each procedure.
- Check the availability and functionality of OT equipment.
- Maintain proper records of OT procedures, equipment and consumables where required.
- Assist with shifting and positioning patients safely as instructed by the clinical team.
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste according to hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with nursing, anaesthesia and other departments for OT requirements.
- Follow hospital safety, hygiene and infection-control policies.
Eligibility & Skills
- Diploma/Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology / OT Technician from a recognised institution.
- Freshers with relevant qualification may apply.
- Candidates with previous hospital/OT experience will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of surgical instruments and OT procedures.
- Understanding of sterilisation and infection-control practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and attentive during surgical procedures.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
Salary
₹15,000 – ₹22,000 CTC per month
Salary will be based on the candidate's qualification, relevant experience and skills.
