The Design Engineer will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, monitoring, and managing all civil and structural design activities for large-scale building projects from a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) perspective. The role involves ensuring that designs are technically sound, compliant with applicable codes and standards, aligned with project requirements, and delivered within approved schedules.
- Review civil and structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and design reports submitted by consultants.
- Ensure design deliverables comply with project requirements, local regulations, building codes, and client standards.
- Identify design gaps, inconsistencies, and constructability issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor design progress against approved design schedules and milestones.
- Participate in design review workshops and technical coordination meetings.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, structural consultants, geotechnical consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary design integration and resolve design interface issues.
- Ensure timely incorporation of client comments and PMC observations into design deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and statutory requirements.
- Review designs for quality, safety, functionality, sustainability, and maintainability.
- B.E. - Civil Engineering
- 10 years of experience in Design with High rise residential projects with at least 1 project G+40.
- Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or institutional developments.
- Experience working in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) setting.
- Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary consultants from concept to project completion.
- Familiarity with international design standards, local authority approvals, and construction methodologies.
